What are ASU Dashboards?

A dashboard is a web interface for users that organizes and presents information in a way that is easy to read and interpret. Dashboards are meant to provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) – through simple visual graphics such as gauges, charts and tables within a web browser – of information most important to the institution. The information is intended to be simple to monitor at a glance and, where appropriate, actionable. Ultimately, dashboards are created to provide a unique and powerful means to present information about any range of topics. In many respects, a reporting dashboard can be likened to a dashboard in an automobile. It provides an 'at-a-glance view' of the current operational state of the vehicle.

Using Dashboards

On your left is a list of ASU dashboards. Start by clicking on your selection (if you haven't authenticated to ASU systems using your ASURITE ID, you'll be prompted to log on for the dashboards that have a key symbol). After authenticating, a summary page will appear, and you will have the ability to look at the information, "roll-over" for values, and drill into detail, etc. You also have the ability to save the information into Microsoft Excel or Adobe Acrobat file, and find out more details by clicking on the info icon . Take notice of the feedback and help buttons - these are your opportunities to request more information or to give your input to the creators of the dashboards. So start clicking away ...

Notes:
The ASU dashboards have both a production and development site. The development site is identified by a ghosted development logo. You will be able to switch to either site in the left corner.

Access to ASU Dashboards

Due to the sensitive nature of some of the data contained within ASU dashboards, an ASURITE ID is required to view them. Dashboards that you do not have access to until you login will have a symbol displayed next to them. Once you are logged in, you may still need to request access to those dashboards depending on your affiliation.

You can request access by clicking on the Request Access link on the black bar at the top. Access is granted by the data trustees based on your affiliation with the institution.
